This was taken in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in an area called Zaisan. I was walking up the road not far from my school taking pictures in freezing weather with no gloves on. These guys were coming from the ger camps and seemed very curious. I asked if I could take their photo.

Diane is a published writer. Her stories have appeared in numerous magazines. Currently, she is working towards publishing her first novel to be followed by an in-depth book on Mongolia illustrated by her photographs. She recently spent five years living and working in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia which allowed extensive travel throughout this remote and unique country.
